Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Specialist.

Principal Responsibilities

  • The role is focused on supporting Asian fixed income products, being an advocate and ambassador for the investment team and capability

  • The role will help to define marketing messages, while disseminating and explaining them to key stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Provide topical market and strategy updates to sales teams in the form of regular written reports, ad hoc written responses, verbal interaction and PowerPoint presentations

  • Idea generation for thought pieces and effective communication

  • Work with other Product Specialists in a collaborative way


  • Knowledge of fixed income and passion for financial markets- undergraduate degree

  • Manage challenging deadlines

  • Be able to work independently when needed

  • Adapt to changing situations

  • Understand strategies, asset classes and markets

  • Prioritise, delegate and escalate where appropriate

  • Confidently appear as an expert in front of clients and internal stakeholders

  • Comment intelligently upon and raise business strategies
