Under general description, the incumbent will manage the team to meet the clients’ need on Secondary Re-packaging request, plan and direct all aspects of the Departments policies and ensure strict compliance to operating standards and site quality systems to ensure safety of our employees and quality of our products.
Manage, lead and develop front line employees to ensure safety, quality, service, cost and resource targets are met
Create a strong team working environment by setting clear expectations and drive performance through collaboration
Engage and motivate team; adapting communication style as appropriate
Establish frequent effective communications with staff to allow early identification of issues/ problems
Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of our logistics/ packaging facility – knowledge of current processes, key bottlenecks and opportunity areas with a specific emphasis on line scheduling, target setting, performance tracking and continuous improvement
Provide guidance and coaching to staff as necessary to ensure clear understanding of our operating standards and site quality systems
Ensure strict compliance to operating standards and site quality systems to guarantee safety of our employees and quality of our products
Degree level or above caliber. Professions in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or related disciplines will be an advantage
Management and leadership experience, with a proven management style focused on coaching and team work
Experience of leading a large team successfully in either a manufacturing / secondary repackaging / or 3PL co-packing environment
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) will be a distinct advantage
Experience of implementing automation within a manufacturing/packaging environment will be a distinct advantage
Data driven with excellent analytical skills and the ability to drive performance against SLA.
Strong written and oral communications skill with ability to inspire and motivate
