Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division
The Early Childhood and Elementary Education Division (ECEED), an academic arm of the School of Continuing Education, is the premier provider of early childhood and primary school teacher education in Hong Kong. It currently offers a range of academic programmes on a full-time or part-time basis for students pursuing courses with qualifications awarded from certificate to postgraduate levels. Its training programmes on early childhood education are supported by the Hong Kong Baptist University Kindergarten (HKBU-K) which provides a training platform for the students of ECE programmes. HKBU-K, as a self-financed university-affiliated kindergarten, adopts play-based learning and values whole-child development for its 300 children studying in the morning/afternoon (Cantonese) and full-day bilingual (Cantonese and English) sessions. HKBU-K is also going to launch an international stream. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Programme Administrator (PR0143/18-19)
The appointee is expected to perform the following duties: (i) handle various aspects of programme administration from application, admission, exemption, course registration and enrolment, class and exam timetabling to graduation; (ii) manage student data and student information system; (iii) coordinate student affairs and activities; (iv) handle student enquiries, complaints and correspondence; and (v) provide secretarial support to committees and working groups.
Applicants should possess a university degree with at least three years of relevant work experience. Preference will be given to applicants possessing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education qualification. Knowledge in Early Childhood Education settings and special project will be desirable. They should also possess effective communication skill and a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
