Programme Officer (PR0422/21-22)

The appointee will assist in the development and delivery of HKBU’s new cross-disciplinary/transdisciplinary/personalized pathway programmes. These novel programmes aim to prepare students for the future by nurturing talents to work across different disciplines to address complex problems with bold ideas and sustainable solutions. The appointee will also assist in the planning and delivering of credit-bearing service-learning courses and projects.


  • managing the logistics of the new programmes, including briefings, webinars and admission events;
  • managing and delivering local and non-local experiential/solution-based/service-learning trips and events, including liaison with course instructors, community partners and collaborators;
  • preparing and carrying out promotional plans and campaigns;
  • managing databases and assisting in preparing project reports and financial reports; and
  • completing other administrative tasks as assigned.

Occasional travelling to the mainland and overseas may be required.


  • A bachelor’s degree or above with at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in higher education;
  • Knowledge and experience in experiential learning, solution-based learning and/or service-learning will be a definite advantage;
  • An excellent team player who is dynamic, organised, detail-minded, responsive, mature and be able to work independently and under pressure;
  • Strong communication and IT/MS Office skills (including Excel); and
  • Excellent English and Chinese (including Putonghua) spoken and writing skills.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
