Report to: Director of Quality Management

Responsibilities:

Project Management (Engineering):

  • Assist the team director to manage the engineering team to solve problems with factories in product development and during production.
  • Lead the engineering team to work with factories to finalize technical drawings of product construction design and tooling design.
  • Work with the sales and P&Q team in US and UK to finalize product specification that can meet customer’s standards, controllable in production, and ensure production feasibility and consistency.
  • Wok with factories in samples review at T1, T2 and so on and ensure fast and precise solution of samples improvement.
  • Work with factories to ensure product’s requirements are fully achieved before production start and fully followed during production.
  • Establish a quality control plan with factories before mass production.
  • Monitor production to ensure the control plan is in place.
  • Wok with factories to solve problems in all production stages.
  • Train and assist factories on product risk assessment (FMEA), process capability (SPC), production improvement (PDCA).

Quality Management:

  • Assist the team director to develop factory QM program to meet customer’s needs.
  • Manage customer complaint cases, methodology of NC management, work with suppliers to establish CAP with analyze method (cause & effect, 5-why), remedy actions.
  • Routine QMS audit and regular QC process evaluation at factories.
  • Manage the product regulatory requirement in the company is up-to-dated following if relevant laws have been updated/changed.
  • Supervise and train inspectors of inspection activities.
  • Control of inspection expenses and monitor inspection plan to best organize manpower to inspect all shipments as required.
  • Review failed inspection with the inspector and factory to identify problem’s solving action.
  • Establish defective panoply for inspector and factory training.
  • Manage company’s own quality audit activity.
  • Follow up CAP with factories and ensure CAP is practical and sustainable
  • Manage clients’ quality audit program and achieve clients’ expectations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in manufacturing, engineering, science, or related field.
  • 10+ years in project, engineering and quality management including quality system audit.
  • ISO9001 approved Quality Management System auditor training qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in handling brands of luxury product is an advantage.
  • Hands-on and independent.
  • Frequent travelling.

Project Management (Engineering):

  • Strong engineering development background of plastic product.
  • Highly experienced in product mechanical engineering, tooling design, tooling verification.
  • Strong working experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Highly experienced in manufacturing processes and factory operation.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic planning, and fast decision making.

Quality Management:

  • Proven quality skills and background.
  • Sound knowledge in US and EU commodity regulatory requirements, e.g. REACH, RoHS, CA Prop 65, TPCH, etc.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality audit, improvement development, training and verification.
  • Knowledge in requirements of QMS and GMP.
  • Experience in quality audit management.
