Project Assistant (1 year contract,work in Govt Office)


  • 5-day week


  • Follow up logistics and administration work, and monitor the progress of community art projects
  • Draft, edit and proofread bilingual texts for community art projects, including introductory texts for exhibitions, proposal, reports, working schedules, presentations, publicity materials, statistics and other documents
  • Liaise and coordinate work with appointed contractors, working partners, artists, performers and other organisations/ institutions.
  • Manage the online artwork platform; monitor the work of the contractor.
  • Answer enquiries on usage of the online platform.
  • Conduct art related research for community art events and projects
  • Compile exhibition information for senior curators
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the officer


  • Degree or above from a Hong Kong or Oversea University, or equivalent. Major in Visual Art, Cultural Studies and management or Design related subject.
  • At least 1 year full-time working experience in local museum or art organisation, responsible for organising art exhibitions, art projects or conducting researches on art and community art projects, as well as related administration work.
  • Effective computer knowledge skills including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Chinese word processing
  • Knowledge and skills in social media tools, information technology, website structure are preferable
  • Patient, attentive to details, responsible manners, good presentation skill and well-organised
  • Great interest in contemporary art and related subjects; knowledge about local art sectors
  • Able to work independently and systematically, with strong oral and written communication, research and time management skills and self-motivated to handle and complete tasks on time and within tight deadlines.
  • Preferable to have customer service experience and skills and effective in interpersonal and communication skills in handling enquiries and complaints
  • Fast and accurate typing skills in both Chinese and English
  • Excellent command in oral and written Chinese and English. Chinese writing and English writing written by the proposed servicer(s) shall be provided for assessment upon the OFFICE’s request.
