Salary: $14,975 per month
Entry Requirements: (a)(i) Level 3 or equivalent or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent; or
(ii) Grade E or above in two subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3 / Grade C or above in three other subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; and
(b) Met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent.
Note: (1)For civil service appointment purpose, “Attained with Distinction" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade C in Other Language subjects in the HKDSEE are accepted as equivalent to Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
(2)The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
(3)For civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties: (a) To assist in the coordination, promotion and organization of community involvement (CI) campaigns and projects;
(b) To deal with general enquiries on the CI campaigns and projects from the public;
(c) To provide logistic support for the Committees / Working Groups under District Councils; and
(d) Other duties as and when required.
Terms of Appointment: (a) Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms up to March 2019. Further renewal to be subject to satisfactory performance and operational needs.
(b) May be required to work outdoor.
(c) May be required to work at irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It will be compensated by time-off in lieu.
(d) Successful candidates should be familiar with computer software including Chinese and English Word-processing skills, MS Word, Excel.
Fringe Benefits (a) Employment Ordinance benefits as appropriate.
(b) A gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of a contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct (applicable where the contract period is no less than one year and the contractual conditions are met). Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15 % of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
