Project Coordinator

Key purpose of the role  

  • The primary responsibility of this project-based role is to assist the Project Director in project coordination, communication and support all administrative activities throughout the entire project life cycle  

Duties & Responsibilities  

  • To coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to monitor progress of assigned projects
  • To assist in the project coordination of all fitting-out works including shop drawing submission, material submission, technical drawings, schedule, works inspection, etc
  • To coordinate, manage and monitor of daily project works, instructions, schedule, progress and report issues/problems
  • To perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
  • Site-based is required with occasional work reporting in the office  

Professional Qualifications  & Experience Required

  • Diploma or above in Building Engineering Studies / Construction/ Project Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 7 years' relevant work experience in developer/ consulting firm/ contractor and with exposure in large scale fit-out projects is preferred
  • Less experience will be considered as Assistant Project Coordinator

Other Requirements

  • Occasional work on Saturdays for project completion to meet project timeline may be required  

Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in supporting construction projects on site and working with expatriates at site office
  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and methods, and familiar with industry best practices
  • Familiar with design, costing, contract, regulations, fitting-out works, building operations, close-out documentation, etc
  • Organized, self-motivated and enthusiastic with strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Good time management skills with a strong sense of urgency to meet constant deadlines
  • Embrace teamwork and willing to offer support to the team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature, interactive, well organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Willing to learn and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project with sound knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
