Project Director (Data Center Construction Project)

The Job

• Be the head of mega (>15 MW IT power) data center projects, from design to engineering, construction and operation transition
• Manage project teams comprising of in-house Project Managers and engineers, external contractors, e.g. Authorized Person, Registered Structural Engineer, E&M consultants, equipment suppliers and contractors
• Manage the whole project cycle from requirement definition, design, tender, construction, implementation, customization and user acceptance
• Manage construction and fitting-out works, building services, HVAC systems, electrical services, generators, UPS, fire services, security systems and BMS
• Ensure compliance of the relevant quality and safety standards procedures and other statutory requirements
• Execute contractual terms and conditions, and meet target schedule and cost with good quality
• Travel to PRC and overseas may be required

The Person

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant leadership experience
• Experience in data centre projects is highly preferred
• Holder of professional qualification (i.e. MHKIE / MIMechE / MIET / MCIBSE or equivalent) is an advantage
• A good team player with analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to tackle problem proactively and foster team spirit
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
