Role Purpose:

Our Technical Merchandiser is in charge of product development process and provide professional technical advices & solutions throughout the order management process.

What you will be handling:

  • Act as a bridge between Merchandising teammates, Quality Assurance Department and suppliers to provide technical support and facilitate communication
  • Participate in buying trips and conduct factory visits to provide technical support and advices including identify technical discrepancies, resolve technical issue, claim negotiation, etc.
  • Monitor the product development to ensure product designs up to customer needs, technical requirements and international standards
  • Support on sourcing new suppliers and products to drive for import share improvement and country participation
  • Work closely with international buyers to manage the after service and spare parts orders
  • Prepare regular technical reports for management review
  • Manage technical procedure & guidelines
  • Provide trainings to Merchandising teammates and suppliers to enhance product and technical knowledge

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

  • Degree holder in Engineering, Research & Development, Supply Chain Management or equivalent discipline
  • Solid technical background on electrical appliances especially on professional Gastro products
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in buying office or manufacturing with focus on European Market
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Outlook) applications
