InspiringHK Sports Foundation is seeking a talented individual as our Project Event & Marketing Officer. Our officer will be based in Hong Kong, working under the direction of the WELL DUNK! Programme in-charge, and collaborate with the staff and volunteer executives in serving our four missions: Sports & Equal Learning Opportunities; Sports & Gender Equality; Sports & Social Inclusion as well as Sports & Healthy Lifestyle.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Event - To be the person-in-charge of a series of events for the WELL DUNK! Public Estate Basketball Programme, including but not limited to the Grand Opening, Charity Corporate Tournament, Grand Finals and community events.
• Event - To manage and well-communicate with relevant government departments, vendors, venue providers, graphic designers, marketing agencies, in-kind & monetary sponsors, collaboration partners, part-time workers/interns/volunteers etc.
• Event – Maintain copy-writing and translation of marketing communications materials such as event brochures, eDMs, e-newsletters, presentations and other corporate communication materials etc. to develop the highest standards of marketing communication collaterals in line with organisation guidelines
• Event – Reach out to media agencies and encourage the reporting of events and stories. This entails the drafting of press invitations, releases, reports etc.
• Event - To monitor the on-site event execution and implementation, to ensure safety, KPIs and impact are achieved.
• Event - To ensure events planned and executed follow the scheduled timeline and are within budget.
• Marketing – To conduct analysis, provide insight and support to the WELL DUNK! Public Estate Basketball Programme to better understand market trends, youth trends and dynamics; Identify opportunities in markets where there are unmet needs
• Marketing – To support the marketing and communications team to develop compelling storytelling to convey how donors’ contributions are being used on the ground, including but not limited to photo and video presentation
• Marketing – Manage the constant updates of the programme website and social media platforms, including but not limited to content creation, in-house photo and video editing, working with agencies and freelancers
• Marketing – Ensure consistent and effective communication of the WELL DUNK! brand and positioning across on / offline channels
• Visit WELL DUNK! classes regularly to understand the organisation work at the front-line
• Perform any other marketing-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A Degree holder with at least 2 years’ experience in charity marketing/sports marketing/event management;
• Strong sports/charity marketing sense, creative and independent;
• A leader to host and manage events with confidence and a sense of team;
• Good command of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Minimal understanding of any video editing software preferred;
• Willingness to work in the weekends, with transport subsidy and compensation leave;
• Excellent command of written and spoken in English and Cantonese;
• A strong team player capable of working with different personalities from different functional backgrounds;
• Strong ability to complete multiple assignments concurrently whilst balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines;
• Knowledge of and passion for basketball/InspiringHK Sports Foundation and charitable sector preferred.
