Project Manager (6 - 12 months)

The Project Manager role is part of medical operations team based within the Medical Affairs organization.

This role will be based in Amgen’s Regional Asia headquarters and the key responsibilities fall within the following areas:

  • Providing overall project management and operations support to the JAPAC medical differentiation as well as field excellence initiatives
  • Performing special projects as requested by line managers
  • Developing detailed project plans, driving medical planning/reporting tasks, facilitating team meetings, encouraging collaboration, developing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring adherence to workflow processes and timelines
  • Capturing lessons-learned, enhancing efficiencies, and improving processes for immediate/future projects
  • Tracking the progress of project(s), including milestones, action items and escalation and resolution of issues
  • Developing project work break down structures using MS-Project following a PM life-cycle methodology
  • Designing and implementing MS-Project templates and filters for project plan tracking and reporting Resource planning
  • Designing and communicating project communication tools including dashboards, change control, training plans, quality monitoring programs and metrics
  • Follow-up on project issues to assist in the development of solutions
  • Facilitation of project meetings including planning and issuing of minutes and actions
  • Point of contact for assigned planning and operational tasks

 

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree & 2 years of directly related experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree & 4 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in leading and managing projects; knowledge in using project management tools and processes (e.g., MS Project) is required
  • 2 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare environments is required
  • Experience in change management and working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Experience working with other functions within Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Global Health Economics, Legal and Regulatory
