Role Overview: The project manager will help to deliver process operating models and implement system automation globally across all functions in compliance. This is a one year contract with a leading global bank.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage change through assigned projects which are established to deliver a specific outcome, on time and on budget
Manage change and implementation within the business to ensure the change lands well and sticks, contributing to benefits realisation
Develop the plan within constraints, considering the delivery approach, key milestones and dependencies within the plan, requirements and scope, effort and resources, budgets and quality
Develop and/or reviews estimates and estimating assumptions for the project’s schedule, effort, and cost
Actively identify and manage critical risks / issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales and implements mitigating plans
Maintain project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change request and all impacts are considered
Promote and takes accountability for project quality; identify opportunities to improve delivery and oversees the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions are taken
Manage project closure and handover to the business
Collaborate and build positive stakeholder and business partner relationships providing regular updates to resolve high priority issues affecting the project
Obtain buy-in from the project sponsor, Steering Committee and other business partner stakeholders for all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, quality assurance plans, budget, schedule, and scope changes
Set the pace and operating rhythm, driving a culture of achievement and ensures pace by identifying and removing barriers to project success
Working with or as a team leader to drive a performance management based culture to improve and drive efficiency and delivery including the effective management of under-performers
Act as a role model to create and maintain a collaborative team environment which supports and encourages the professionalism and development of our teams
Promote pace and energy within the team and leads by example
Promote the company Group’s values and strategy by creating a positive work environment and promoting teamwork to drive engagement

Key Skills:
Core Project Management Knowledge and Skills (PMP or PRINCE2 certification maintained for at least 2 cycles, or equivalent experience)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proven experience delivering complex, large scale projects or programmes
Experience managing senior stakeholders in a matrix, multi-cultural organisation
Experience in financial services (banking, capital markets or insurance) required
Financial crime compliance and risk or similar (including quantitative analysis and risk analytics) experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
Ability to work independently and self-learn
