Department of Science and Environmental Studies
The appointee will participate in a Dean’s Strategic Research Area Fund project aiming at investigating endocrine disrupting chemicals with respect to their quantification, environmental and public health risks, removal, and socio-economic implications. He/she will assist the Project Leaders in coordinating the whole project to ensure that adequate support is provided to the protocol development for environmental and public health risks assessment. Duties include liaising with stakeholders internally and externally; supervising staff; evaluating the project; writing reports; providing professional training for junior research staff, technicians or new employees; and performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors. The initial appointment will be for a period of around 2-3 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in Analytical Chemistry, preferably a Doctoral degree with not less than ten years’ experience in method development and validation. They should have sound knowledge in analytical methods development and validation in biological samples (e.g., drug detection, capability, reliability and efficiency, new analytical methods for detecting prohibited substances, etc.) with excellent interpersonal and management skills. They should also be highly proficient in both English and Chinese; and a good team player, attentive to details, highly self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
