Project Manager, Software

Responsibilities:

  1. Be responsible to lead the project from offering to execution phase.
  2. Work together with Sales team for budget and sales proposal / tender preparation and submission.
  3. Be responsible for business requirement collection by attending workshops at customer side to confirm the scope of work independently. This includes also preparing the comprehensive Statement of Work.
  4. Be responsible for delivering the project within scope, budget and Schedule. The project management mandates spans from Project Initiation stage until Project Subsequent Delivery Stage. The project finishes with signature of Final Project Acceptance by the customer.
  5. Chair in project progress sessions i.e. kick-off meetings, workgroup meetings and review sessions involving and managing a wide range of parties and stakeholders
  6. Manage the expectations of stakeholders and sponsors of the project
  7. Manage project team in achieving common goals by assigning tasks and removing roadblocks
  8. Define and estimate task duration together with stakeholders to develop a realistic project schedule
  9. Develop, Drive, Maintain and track project stages including design phase, development phase, testing phase and production implementation
  10. Evaluate, document and manage project risks. This includes risk assessments, defining risk strategies, maintaining a risk register, running continuous evaluation of the risk exposure, developing contingency plans
  11. Involve in resource estimation and staff budgeting during project initiation
  12. Provide monthly project reporting, based on defined project dashboard to G+D Steering Board and overall steering board with customer
  13. Drive and manage early escalations
  14. Liaise with various groups of senior stakeholders, sponsors and appointed project representatives to assure the overall direction of the project
  15. Assist in leading software commissioning team as team member rotates on site and off site.
  16. Coordinated deployment of the solution including migration and implementation plan.

  Job Requirements:

  1. University graduate in Computer Science, and/or Engineering and/or IT related discipline
  2. High stress resilience
  3. Capable to manage in an international and multi-cultural project environment
  4. Project Management: PRINCE2, PMP, JIRA etc (Any one of these certification preferably)
  5. 3 years of experience in handling, engineering, development on commercial activities, preferably in banking system industry, consumer electronic industry, logistic solution or IT industry.
  6. Minimum 2 years of experience in project management is preferred. Solid experience in software project lifecycle and deliverables with proven track record
  7. Excellent listening, negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills.
  8. Self-motivated, pro-active to tackle issues, willing to learn, able to work independently and collaborate with the team.
  9. Experience in implemented various projects of different natures e.g. Cloud Application, Web Application, Client Server application, tablet device and warehouse control system.
  10. Capability of understanding of IT infrastructure architecture and setup.
  11. Proficiency in Excel.
  12. Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
