PROJECT MANAGER (STRUCTURAL)

Responsibilities 

  • Manage project structural consultant, and to collaborate with the Architect and project QS for preparing tender, attending tender interviews and consolidating tender reports from consultant teams for procuring of facade and main contractor
  • Manage project structural consultant to supervise ELS contractor, main contractor and facade contractor on design aspects, such as temporary works, technical issues concerns technicality and constructability; preparation of statutory submissions and facilitate approval/consent processes
  • Manage project structural consultant to supervise main contractor and the trade sub-contractors on structural and construction aspects that may involve statutory submission/approval/consent procedures, and/or areas that may affect work sequence and program, time and budget control, quality, environmental and safety assurance
  • Manage project structural consultant to supervise main contractor and trade sub-contractors to perform due diligence in quality and safety supervision as per the latest statutory requirements (may need to attend off-site yard visits on intermittent basis, to suit project’s need
  • Attend design and sitemeetings and prepare internal report to update senior management of the facade and related issues (such as budgeting, cost control, statutory, technical, program, progress, quality, environmental, safety, etc.)

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Corporate member of HKIE in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years’ post qualification experience 
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in medium to large scale residential, commercial and government building projects with at least 5 years in managerial level
  • Familiar with Building Ordinance, procedures of government submissions, statutory requirements of structural systems, material usages and formal submission/approval/consent procedures and relevant structural aspect such as wind tunnel testing requirements
  • Solid structural design experience, preferably high-rise private development (residential, commercial, CDA), railway topside development, building façade & structure integrated system and etc.
  • Hands-on experience in supervising project consultants, main contractor and sub-contractors
  • Able to work independentlywith effective problem-solving technique
  • Mature, appealing interpersonal skill and a good team player
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
