Project Manager

G4S (Hong Kong-Holding) Limited

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the Project team to design, integrate, install, complete and hand over the security and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems to the client in accordance with the contract requirement and project specification within the costing sheets and project work program, and work with the Bid team to deliver the P&L of Project revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the safety performance standards
  • Manage the Engineers under the project team to timely complete the contract work and recognize the revenue within costing sheet
  • Plan and design the required systems under the contract works in accordance with contract requirement and project specification in a minimum cost
  • Control and seek saving to the costs of direct labour, material and sub-contractors and work with Bid team to maximize the gross profit contribution
  • Monitor work progress, coordinate and meeting with customers,consultants, architects, contractors for project implementation and completion
  • Issue variations to customer for additional work or requirement, and claim double handling, extension of time etc.
  • Preparing and responsible for testing, commissioning and training hand over of the project to the Customers and Service Department
  • Manage cost, schedule and deliver revenue of the project timely
  • Follow payment progress, push cash collection and final account closing
  • Manage and train and develop all engineers and staff under project team
  • Assess sub-contractors performance
  • Improve the workmanship of jobs to minimize double handling and extra follow-up and corrective service work
  • Support the Bid team to accurately estimate cost for tender and propose new initiatives to improve the accuracy of job costing to win tender

Requirements:

  • Diploma in electronics engineering or related discipline or above
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant industry experience, of which 5 years at management level
  • Good command of both spoken & written Chinese and English
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in security system design and integration, hardware and software
