CENTRE FOR INNOVATIVE SERVICE-LEARNING
The appointee will support a UGC cross-institutional capacity building project on service-learning. He/She will support Community of Practice and Action Research of the UGC project and the implementation of the service-learning courses in the formal curriculum at the University. Duties include supporting service-learning courses; organising both local and non-local service-learning trips; liaising with collaborators for project activities; managing data collection through surveys or other means; organising conferences to disseminate results, preparing project and financial reports and completing various administrative tasks.
Applicants should preferably have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences or related disciplines with at least three years of work experience in service learning or research-based educational projects. They should have strong communication skills in both spoken and written Chinese and English; good organisational, problem-solving skills and IT skills. The appointee should be able to work independently and under pressure. Occasional travelling would be required. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Project Officer.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
