The Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) seeks to appoint a Project Officer to manage and support the communications, branding, marketing and events management needs of the department and it’s programmes. The appointee will be responsible for a full range of outreach and communications activities, including the organization and management of all media and outreach related activities, development and management of marketing and promotional materials for the department and its programmes, management of web-based materials and content, management of social media and content, development and management of audio-visual material, organisation of school / university recruitment talks by APS academic staff, organization and management of strategic events / outreach activities, and management of the department’s branding and profile needs. The appointee will be required to provide content for all promotional materials, provide creative oversight in the development of media content and communication strategies, and have a broad understanding of the media, strategic communication and events management.
Working with the Head of Department, programme leaders and administrative staff, the appointee is expected to be self-motivated, able to liaise with key stakeholders, develop strategic communication plans and set and achieve targets.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree with several years of relevant post-qualification working experience. They should also have high proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), as well as excellent interpersonal, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
