The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) is looking for an independent and competent project officer to manage a 3-year inter-university student learning research project, as well as supporting multiple exciting initiatives, including social innovation and entrepreneurship education in the OSL.

The appointee will be assigned to one or more of the following tasks:

a) To plan, manage, execute, and evaluate the inter-university research project, which requires the appointee to liaise with local university coordinators in every stage of the project;
b) To organize workshops and activities for faculty members and students;
c) To liaise with employers and university departments to recruit employers and students to participate in the internship and research programme;
d) To collect data from local/global employers and students participating in the internship programs;
e) To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maximize project impact to all stakeholders;
f) To assess project effectiveness and translate the findings into high quality reports and publications;
g) To evaluate effectiveness of Lingnan programmes, including Service-Learning and Entrepreneurship education, in nurturing competitive students in the workplace and academia;
h) To support Senior Project Officers in research and project development; and
i)   To perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements: (i) a recognized university degree or above, preferably in psychology, education, sociology, economics or a related discipline; (ii) at least 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably in training and managing local/ overseas internship programs; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) proactive working attitude with good interpersonal, project management and communication skills; (v) good organizational skill to perform administrative duties independently, efficiently and under tight schedule; and (vi) experience in working with NGO and higher education institutions will also be an advantage.

Successful candidate will be working in a team with diverse expertise from science to engineering, and social science to marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with good knowledge of Service-Learning, experiential learning, e-learning, MOOC, liberal studies, and entrepreneurship education. Candidates with full-time postgraduate research degree from top universities and overseas academic and working experience are highly preferred.  Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.  The appointment will normally be made on an initial contract for up to two years with the possibility of contract renewal subject to mutual agreement.
