We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Project Officer, Project Team- EPSCO.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To arrange and monitor the launch of new phases of the Payment By Phone Service (PPS), Bank Bill Payment (BBP), Counter Bill Payment (CBP) and the ad hoc PPS, BBP and CBP related projects.This involves the liaison work with EPSCO's member banks, institutional merchants and service partners

  • To monitor and ensure the smooth operation of internal and HSBC application systems (e.g. Lotus Notes/PCOMM).This work covers backup LAN administration and the co-ordination of all purchases and installation of PC equipment

  • To assist the AM Project Management & LAN Admin in performing the functional test of self-service products, including the co-ordination work and software development discussions with various terminal vendors.

  • To assist the AM Project Management & LAN Admin in maintaining EPSCO's PC File Transfer System capacity to strictly conform to audit's security standard and meet with merchants' requirements.This work covers conducting connection test and training with merchants on the PC File Transfer system

  • To assist the AM Project Management & LAN Admin in monitoring self-service product performance and other system enhancements and projects by preparing statistics and collecting relevant information.This work covers the participation in other system enhancement and related projects (e.g. Database Integration, EPSP Database Maintenance, Merchant Commission Enhancement, etc.)

  • To participate in the updating of the EPS Functional Specification according to the AM Project Management & LAN Admin's instructions

  • To deputise the AM Project Management & LAN Admin during his/her absence


  • Form 5 or above

  • At least 5 years’ clerical experience preferably IT related

  • Knowledge of EPS and credit card operations

  • Basic banking systems

  • Good command in both oral and written English and Chinese

  • Sound knowledge of PC skills, LAN administration and wide range of HSBC standard software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Analytical reasoning, logical thinking, good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Detail oriented and able to handle multi task

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
