The appointee will assist the Department in conducting a project for the promotion of STEM teacher education among students and pre-service teachers from STEM disciplines. He/she will assist the Project Leader in organizing STEM activities, conducting research and design of STEM devices/prototypes, providing school-based support in the form of school talks, teacher workshops, or consultancy to schools in need of support, helping to build the infrastructure of STEM Laboratory, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period of around 12 months.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in relevant STEM disciplines including sciences, engineering, information technology, design and technology, computer programming or other related disciplines with at least 3 years of full-time working experience. Excellent communication skills, with good proficiency in both English and Chinese, and collaboration and problem solving skills are a must. Applicants with working experience in primary/secondary education sectors in Hong Kong and skills in research are preferred. Substantial relevant work experience in related fields will be an advantage.
