Job Summary
Project (Client Services) Mgr: Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May work at client site from time to time. Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. Project is typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.

Job Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.- Strong spreadsheet capability and other project management applications as required for reporting, tracking charts, checklists and project scheduling.- Technical expertise in the area of systems, storage, and data management.- Ability to work collaboratively with, and to lead and motivate other employees in a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined timelines.- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and people.Responsibility and Interaction: - Responsibility: - The tasks this individual is responsible are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation. - Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.- Interaction: - This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. - Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently. - The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

Education
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
