PURCHASING OFFICER (1-year Contract)

  • Responsible for tender activities for group companies in both China and Hong Kong in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures; review tender document, consolidate tender list and make recommendation
  • Handle the tender process for group purchasing to achieve cost saving; consolidate users’ requirement, source qualified suppliers, prepare tender documents and conduct bid evaluation, negotiate and prepare proposal 
  • Liaise with suppliers and user departments in China and Hong Kong on tender processing; review and assess the qualifications of the suppliers
  • Prepare regular purchasing reports and ad hoc reports for management review
  • Manage the tender database and maintain the filing system in timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Diploma holder in Purchasing and Supply Management or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience in purchasing, preferably gained in sizable organization
  • Hands on experience in purchasing / tendering in PRC and dealing with PRC business unit a definite advantage
  • Responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated and result-driven
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and multitasking skills and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in PC skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficient in Mandarin would be an advantage
