Quality Consultant / Specialist - Textile (m/f)

We invite now high caliber talent to apply for Quality Consultant / Quality Specialist (m/f) to join our rapidly growing sourcing team in Hong Kong. This position supports product development and commercialization with a fast-paced successful team.

Responsibilities.

• Support the business by ensuring the assigned product category (Garment and home textiles) meet quality, safety and legal requirements for the country delivered.
• Responsible for sample approval (fit, materials, constructions & functionality) from size set to PP samples for Garment (Men, Ladies, Kids & Children) and Home textiles according to defined technical specifications, safety and legal requirements.
• Screen potential problems in production stage and perform troubleshooting in order to facilitate a smooth production before shipment.
• Able to manage fitting test on dummy and life model then correct pattern for the desired fit.
• Maintain strong relationship and effective communication with sourcing team, logistic team, corporate responsibility team and Germany headquarter
• Support Sourcing team by providing technical advice and solutions for new product development; and educate factories on company’s quality requirements.
• Liaise closely with head quarter quality team to implement the agreed QA process and quality requirement in production.
• Occasional travel to China and south east Asia countries to oversee production and provide technical support.
• Assist Quality Manager to manager factory performance, launch improvement program and amend QA process.
• Coordinate with third party laboratory to researches and investigates the relevant quality requirements in preparation for submissions and new product development

Your Profile

• At least Diploma or above in related disciplines (e.g. Textiles, Apparel & Quality Management,etc.
• Minimum of 4 years' relevant working experience, preferably gained in sourcing/buying offices, working with consumer products.
• Good knowledge in fabric, sewing, garment fitting, pattern making and garment production (knit/woven)
• Familiar with European testing and safety standard, and international quality standard such as Oeko-tex and AQL
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
• Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn.
• Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills.
• General knowledge of MS office and Exchange essential.
• High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness.
