Quality Management Assistant (in the grade of Research Assistant II) in the Clinical Trials Centre (Ref: 509092) (to commence as soon as possible for one or two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under the LKS Faculty of Medicine and dedicated to managing and facilitating international-standard clinical trials on new drugs, medical devices and medical technologies.  HKU-CTC offers long-term development opportunities to passionate talents who are devoted to a career in the clinical trial profession.

Quality and compliance are the key to the success of clinical research projects. HKU-CTC’s Quality Management Team (QMAT) is a professional team dedicated to ensuring research quality and compliance through formulation and implementation of multi-dimensional quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) measures. QMAT is seeking talents who are interested/experienced in practising the quality management profession in the clinical research domain.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological/Medical/Life Sciences, Quality Management or related disciplines. Relevant experience is not necessary as comprehensive on-job training will be provided, though some experience in quality management and clinical research are added advantages. Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication skills, and commitment to quality and compliance. They should also be detail-minded, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks, self-motivated and have a strong sense of responsibility. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. Proficiency in Putonghua is a plus. 

The appointee will assist QMAT in operating HKU-CTC’s QA system, including: (i) administering HKU-CTC’s standard operating procedures and other quality documents using its in-house electronic platform; (ii) maintaining folders and trackers; and (iii) providing administrative and operational support to QMAT; and perform other duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Appointment on two-year fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
