Quality Technologist – Stationery

Responsibilities:

  • Support product development, qualification and release to achieve quality & on time delivery
  • Maintain effective working relationship with internal stakeholders in Asia and UK
  • Liaise with third party labs, inspection & audit service providers to ensure compliance of supplier & product
  • Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement
  • Maintain and update documentation of critical supplier certification, testing & inspection reports
  • Monitor and communicate Supplier KPI’s
  • Work closely with UK Technologist/Buyer/Merchandiser to execute strategy for category delivery
  • Maintain relationship with external stakeholders for new product development to product end of life
  • Communicate engineering & manufacturing requirements to supplier technical teams and provide onsite support at suppliers to manage quality & delivery expectations
  • Provide technical support for all quality & customer complaints
  • Initiate technical assessment for new supplier on boarding
  • Manage assigned cross functional projects involving internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • University graduate in Engineering related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years technical/ quality engineering experience in Seasonal /Stationery
  • Able to manage and co-ordinate critical path effectively and across other functional teams
  • Retail sourcing/trading experience will be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluently written and spoken English and Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and able to work under pressure
  • Occasional Travel to China is required
