Job Description

Role overview:

The Fixed Income Front Office IT team is in charge of supporting and developing tools for the Fixed Income traders, sales & structurers and Middle Office in Asia (mainly Hong Kong and Tokyo). This includes applications and spreadsheets to run the Fixed Income businesses: pricers, market data contributions, RFQ workflows, risk and PnL management, and trades repositories.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to work with the team’s developers and contribute to several on-going project

He/She will interact directly with traders and financial engineers to provide gather needs in terms of product development, model implementation or tool enhancement. Desks cover derivatives and exotics in Rates, FX, Credit and Hybrids Asset Classes.

He/She will also provide technical support on the applications developed by the team and collaborates closely with Application Support dedicated people.

Job Description:

  • Designing & developing tools
  • New architecture micro-services oriented for structured products
  • Web-based risk calculation engine and reporting
  • He/She is expected to take the lead on all Front Office initiatives
  • He/She will implement a close relation with Front Office, so as to suggest and implement the most adapted solutions to support the Business line.
  • Proactivity is key, which involves very good understanding of business needs, excellent technical capacity and ability to properly assess the priorities. Finding the right balance between sustainability, maintainability and effectiveness is also expected.
  • Provides technical and functional support for Traders. Help redirect users towards the relevant IT team if needed
  • Accountable for following up potential incidents and change management with sufficient level of details for his perimeter
  • Liaises with IT teams in Hong Kong and Paris


Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

General Skills:

Core Tech Requirements:

  • C# .Net framework / Web Development
  • Strong Excel/VBA user skills
  • Real-time event processing
  • Complex data structures – modelling the data/patterns/relationships
  • Experience with ActiveMQ middleware / No SQL databases would be an advantage

Business Experience:

  • 5+ years in a development position
  • Experience in banking is not mandatory
