Major Duties :
(a) To assist in drafting tender documents of term contracts and minor projects and in scrutinising the tenders including checking the mathematics, examining the rates and preparing the recommendations;
(b) To assist in the preparation of draft letters of award for contractors and formal contract documents;
(c) To assist in updating of financial data and records for capital and maintenance works for budgetary purpose;
(d) To check and comment on bond and insurance matters and to assist in monitoring the submission status;
(e) To check and measure on site the quantity of materials for works completed;
(f) To recommend payment to contractors and prepare payment certificates;
(g) To check and assess star rates, claims and variations submitted from contractors; and
(h) To liaise with term contractors for payment / invoice submission status.
(a) A recognized diploma or higher certificate in building studies / quantity surveying, or equivalent; preferably with a recognized degree in relevant field;
(b) Preferably with basic knowledge of building services works or experience in handling site measurements, claims in building and building services term contracts; and
(c) Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
