Ramp Operator (Tractor Driver)

Qualifications

• Form 5 graduated or sufficient working experience in related industry
• Driving license of class 19
• Minimum two (2) years of job-related experience required
• Good quality, safety and airworthiness mindset with the ability to drive changes and achieve continuous improvement
• Proactive, customer focused and business minded

Responsibilities

• Following safety procedures and regulation all the time to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
• Carrying out daily, weekly and scheduled inspection and maintenance as specified by the equipment manufacturer or the company
• Driving & operating tow tractors to perform pushback and towing activities
• Driving & operating different types of Ground Support Equipment
• Conducting operational inspection of tow tractor and tow bar before every use
• Checking vehicles & GSE prior to each assignment to ensure serviceability
• Ensuring appropriate tow tractor and tow bar is used for the type of aircraft
• Making sure that the vehicle/GSE is fueled properly
• Performing 8 Days check as per safety routine checklist
• Assisting the Mechanics to chock in/ out, FGP/ PCA/ earthing cable connection & disconnection/ being the Wing Walker.
• Ensuring all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained. To avoid FOD will be vigilant in ensuring work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers and toolboxes are all kept clean.
• Ensuring all paper work and messages are completed.
• Performing other duties as assigned by his/ her direct Superiors.
