R&D Associate

  About t he Job

  • Participate in R&D projects for Hai Kang Life's molecular diagnostic system;
  • Provide assistance in testing and validating Hai Kang Life's molecular diagnostic system;
  • Conducting experiments in the wet lab including nucleic acid extractions, DNA cloning, PCR, sequencing/analysis and basic microbiology;
  • Work with supervisor to improve protocols and develop new assays;
  • Accurately document, critically analyze/interpret data and communicate the results promptly;
  • Troubleshoot issues with experimental design and execution;
  • Participate in the research and development discussions and presenting research findings;
  • Contribute to the writing of work instructions, SOPs, and/or validation designs;
  • Lab organizational functions such as sourcing and preparation of reagents and materials, and calibration/maintenance of instrumentation;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Ideally, you should be/possess:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree or above in molecular biology, microbiology, analytical chemistry, electrochemistry,   materials engineering, or other biotech-related disciplines;
  • At least 1-2 years relevant working experience preferred;
  • Hands-on experience and skilled in state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques;
  • Good technical experience in design, debug and problem solving;
  • Mature, responsible, independent, detail-minded and able to work under pressure;
  • Good communication skills to communicate with colleagues at all levels and top management;
  • Positive, self-starter and willing to take up challenges to meet projects deadline;
  • Good command in both verbal and written Chinese and English.
