Regional Accountant

To responsible for the Accounting function for the APAC region, as a critical role in the regional Accounting team for a high-tech US listed company at NASDAQ.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is an individual contribution role, reporting to the Regional Accounting Team Leader and work closely with HQ Finance team, APAP user departments and country Finance team, you will be responsible for to manage the followings: 

  • In charge of daily accounting tasks and month end closing for various Asia Pacific entities
  • To Monitor on-going actual vs. budget results, & maintain strong control over OPEX & Capex budget
  • Review and verify the payment process in order to ensure compliance with group policy
  • Follow and monitor accounts payable including handling PO/expense reports, invoicing in the system and preparing for cash flow reports
  • Work with Customer Operations team closing to review and releasing orders align with group policies, and monitoring operations by following up collection and DSO days
  • Assist in annual statutory audits / tax computation & filling / treasury for various Asia Pacific entities
  • Assist and coordinate for SOX audit for internal testing & external testing
  • In charge of regular assigned management reports for management and user departments
  • To monitor on-going actual vs. budget results, & maintain strong control over OPEX & Capex budget
  • Ad-Hoc tasks / projects as required by management / other department

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • > 5 years relevant working experience in MNC, more experienced one may considered as senior accountant
  • Prior regional experience with reporting &/ consolidation for Asia Pacific region required
  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Finance or other relevant qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and influencing ability
  • Able to work under high-pressure, fast paced and dynamic environment 
  • Open minded, proactive, detail-minded and analytical thinking
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • more experience candidates can be consider as senior account.

 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent computer skills in MS Excel; 
  • Knowledge with Oracle or other ERP preferred;  experience with HFM is an advantage
  • Ability of handling consolidation in excel, large volume of data and to create high quality tables
