Regional IA Director-MNC

Client Background

My client is a well established and reputable HK listed company with business across the world.

With its rapid expansion, my client is looking for a talented APAC IA Director to join the team, directly reports to the VP of IA based in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Asia Pacific regional internal audit function
• Lead and manage the audit team to complete audit and consulting engagements planned and/or as needed
• Assist in developing a risk-based audit plan for the regional internal audit activities
• Assist in preparing Audit Committee meeting package as required
• Serve as high-level technical expert and accountable for the identification of risks or weaknesses in the process being reviewed
• Report audit findings and ensure findings are properly addressed with action plans in accordance with the current and future needs of the business and/or regulatory requirements
• Evaluate internal controls, operations and information systems regarding reliability and integrity as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial and operational system

Requirements

• University graduate in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with professional qualifications in HKICPA, CIA or CISA
• 15 years proven track record in building and managing Internal Audit functions, with which 5 years in senior managerial/ director level, Big 4 audit background is preferred
• Very passionate and driven for excellence and continuous improvement
• Excellent communications skills with people at all levels and ability to build rapport with stakeholders at the executive level
• Strong analytical and report writing (in both English and Chinese) skills
• Excellent English and Chinese (including Putonghua) communication skills
