Regional Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Advising on legal, licensing, business and operational activities in respect of the exploitation of rights controlled by IFPI member-record companies and industry bodies.
  2. Advising on and coordinating any litigation and enforcement actions initiated by IFPI or its affiliated organizations.
  3. Monitoring and advising on developments in intellectual property and other related laws and new technologies affecting the recording industry.


  1. Law degree from a reputable university.
  2. Qualified lawyer with at least 1 to 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
  3. Interest in legal policy, in particular, relating to copyright laws.
  4. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese language skills.
  5. Strong drafting skills.
  6. Good research and analytical skills and meticulous with details.
  7. Knowledge of IP laws and experience in IP licensing will be an advantage.
  8. Knowledge of PRC laws and regulations will be a further advantage.
  9. Candidates with less qualification / experience but who display potential will also be considered.
