Regional Recruiter - 12 Month Contract


his role is responsible for the recruitment and selection of candidates for vacancies in the country(s) in scope. The successful candidate develops programs, relationships, recruitment channels and internal and external networks to build and maintains full talent pipeline. He/She ensures consistent and efficient execution of the processes in line with international guidance and contributes to the development of programs, tools and networks to attract, retain and develop talent for the Amgen organization

Responsibilities include:

  • Manages staffing process for vacancies within scope
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand job specification and candidate requirements
  • Sources candidates through appropriate recruitment channels ; builds relationships, internal/external networks and other recruitment channels to create and maintains a talent pipeline for current and future vacancies
  • Designs and executes the selection process to select candidates
  • Manages selection interviews process – coordinates with hiring manager’s assistant to provide a positive and effective process for candidates
  • Evaluates candidates and manages the candidate debrief process (w/objective evaluation criteria ) to support hiring managers in making selection decisions
  • Prepare offers and communicate Amgen value proposition to candidate
  • Manages and reports on progress of recruitment activities through Amgen’s recruitment system
  • Inform and involve local HRBP as needed during the staffing process
  • Manages ad-hoc placement requests and applications (e.g. summer intern, referrals)
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and local legislation
  • Executes local staffing project for hub countries
  • Recommends and contributes development and improvements of recruiting policy, process improvements and staffing tools (best practices), in line with developments in local legislations.
  • Provides ongoing process education to all Amgen managers and other staff members involved in the hiring process.


  • Proven experience in recruitment and a passion for setting up relationships and network in the local and international labor market (> 4 yrs)
  • Experience in behavioural interviewing, setting up assessment centres, writing job descriptions and partnering with recruiting managers
  • Strong operational mindset; able to relate to people at all levels; excellent presentation skills
  • Skilled at organizing & coordinating multiple events in several locations
  • Educated to Degree level
  • Sensitivity in managing matrix relationships and cross border and cross-cultural relationships
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Word use.
  • Fluent English language and local language
  • Experience in working with and accountability for managing external partnerships
  • Experience with using Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday)
  • Experience with a multinational matrix environment an advantage
  • Experience in recruiting in the pharma/biotech industry
  • HR generalist experience
