Some of our most valuable business comes from existing customers. That’s because our Business Development Sales team takes care to forge strong and insightful relationships with them. To gain understanding of the unique and changing factors that drive purchasing decisions, the team develops connections at all levels of a client’s business. They use their insight to identify and create new opportunities – and to build the business development strategies that underpin successful sales. As well as maximizing revenue, they take responsibility for accurate forecasts.

Accountability

  • Develops account presence by creating a high added value working relationship with senior customer personnel Identifies long-term and short-term sales opportunities.
  • Focuses on sales activities that produce results in the short term as well as the long term
  • Transfers customer information and market knowledge to various cross-functional teams to improve overall development and positioning of offerings within the portfolio
  • Performs sales activities on a longer sales cycle
  • Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced - level professional, proficient understanding of the product and services portfolio May lead with specialties
  • Gains access and creates superior relationships with senior level executives and influential stakeholders to sustain a long-term relationship
  • Responsible for working with applications vendors to get our products and services bundled in the solution
  • Manages vendor relationships and Enterprise product/service solutions
  • Effectively aligns and utilizes all available internal and external resources to achieve desired sales results
  • Leverages channel offerings to position the value of the Dell solution
  • Gains “insider status" to influence the customer’s buying process primarily targeted at senior level executive decision makers
  • Sales thought leader, influencing how segment functions/engages client set
  • Leads company- to-company relationships to develop competitive advantage
  • Manages significant complexity across all vendor relationships

 

Essential Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of IoT, its business model, its dynamic trend and direction, and technologies
  • Good understanding of OEM sales model and significant experience in embedded solutions
  • Proven track record in establishing credibility with key decision makers through demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills, and in depth knowledge of customer business needs, and solving their business problem
  • Established interpersonal skills, strong strategy development, program management and relationship management skills and be capable of influencing across multiple groups and/or organizations
  • English speaking and writing
