As of 2018, JTI employed about 40,000 people around the world and have own research & development centers and tobacco processing facilities

Description

  • Responsible for the coordination of all product development projects and also ensuring the provision of full service to R&D's customers
  • Develop new, modify and maintain existing tobacco products, monitor quality after implementation, as well as preparation of consumer tests based on global policy & procedures, monitor competitive product technology in order to advise markets of product related improvement directions
  • Guide the assigned markets in the region through new product development process from initial concept, feasibility & cost analysis
  • Provide sensory expertise to all product related activities including Packaging




Profile

  • Good understanding of tobacco / markets, casing & flavor, cigarette components and designs plus sensory ability to evaluate tobacco and tobacco products both own and competitor brands
  • Good understanding of the consumer wants and needs combined with market research activities for assigned projects
  • Ability to perform development directions and objectives into the specifications for prototypes
