The appointee will be responsible for working on projects related to mobile assisted language learning and English teacher training. His/her duties include, but are not limited to, providing research support to the Principal Investigator, conducting literature review, collecting/analysising data, drafting research reports, organising, collaborating and communicating between multi-parties. The candidate should demonstrate good academic writing skills. The appointee will also be expected to carry out other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. The appointment will be for an initial period of 8 months, which is renewable subject to the performance of the appointee.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a Master’s Degree, in English language /linguistics or other relevant subjects. They should have a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. They should also be literate in computer applications; able to work under tight timeline; and have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Independence, multi-tasking and attention to details are essential.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
