The appointee will be responsible for providing research support to the Centre in research-related activities, including but not limited to conducting literature review, preparing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, supervising student helpers, recruiting research participants, scheduling and participating in data collection, administering questionnaires and performing any other duties as assigned. He/she will also be involved in a project related to IT entrepreneurship. The initial appointment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to applicants who have at least 1 year’ working experience. He/she should have the abilities and willingness to support colleagues in the Centre in developing and running research studies, and in producing research outputs. They should have highly developed communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a good team member. Candidate who can speak Nepali or Urdu will be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
