The Centre for Governance and Citizenship (CGC) is a University-level research centre of The Education University of Hong Kong committed to conduct interdisciplinary scholarly research and facilitate public discourse on governance issues and citizenship studies. Current research focuses on civic and citizenship education, ethnic minority identity, youth civic engagement and youth activism, and comparative research on youth civic values.
The CGC now invites applications for a Research Assistant within the Centre. The appointee will be responsible for a number of projects and activities related to civic and citizenship education. The appointee will also perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and the Centre Director. The appointment will be for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably a Master’s degree in Social Sciences. They should also have native proficiency in Chinese language (Cantonese) and near native proficiency in English language (at least IELTS 7). Applicants with high level of IT proficiency will be an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave and outpatient medical benefits.
