The appointee will be responsible for providing research-related administrative support; producing draft reports; manage and social media content of the project; collecting and processing qualitative and quantitative data; searching and reviewing literature; liaising with schools, teachers, parents, students and/or NGO personnel; organizing academic and capacity-building functions; and performing any other duties as required. The initial appointment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education, Sociology, Psychology or related disciplines, preferably with some knowledge in multicultural/intercultural studies, race relations, and ethnic minorities. Applicants should have full-time work experience, preferably with a background working with schools or NGO professionals that support individuals of multiethnic background. Applicants should demonstrate strong verbal and written English; show reasonable oral and written proficiency in Chinese (incl. Putonghua) that enables communication with local community and NGOs. Applicants should also have excellent organization skills who work well independently and collaboratively; be competent in computer applications (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.); possess essential knowledge of SPSS. Applicants who have creating and running online surveys (e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey); developing, recruiting participant and preparing reports is an advantage.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
