The appointee will be responsible for working on a project of “A Study on Fragrance within the Curtains, the Annotation of Huang Tingjian’s Poetry Anthology by the Japanese Zen Monk Banri Shūkyū". His/her duties include but are not limited to provide research support to the Principal Investigator, conduct a literature search and review, documents preparation, translation and perform any other duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period of around 7 months.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Ancient Chinese Literature, Religious Studies (especially Buddhism Studies), History of Art or related disciplines, preferably with relevant post-qualification full-time working experience or a higher Degree. Applicants with proficiency in ancient Chinese, and English/Japanese is a plus. Independence, multi-tasking, and attention to details are essential.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
