Department Overview:

Fitch's Human Resources function directly supports all Divisions of Fitch Group currently comprising a headcount of approximately 3,500. We provide a service in line with a business partner model, with a specialist teams dedicated to Learning & Development, Resourcing and HR Systems, Reporting and Compensation. The HR team is located in regional hubs in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore and Hong Kong. In addition, some HR administration duties are fulfilled by Office Managers in each remote office location. The Chief Human Resources Officer is based in London and is a member of the Fitch Group Executive, reporting to the CEO.


This position can be based in Singapore, Hong Kong or Sydney, sitting within the APAC Resourcing Team. Together with one other Resourcing Partner the successful candidate will be responsible for attracting and hiring staff across the region. This newly expanded role will not only cover analytical roles but also recruitment for responsible for the Fitch Solutions and Fitch Learning businesses.

This role is a full end to end resourcing role covering multiple business areas and grades; it requires an individual who can successfully manage the associated administration (interview booking, tracking roles and headcount, candidate feedback) as well proactively sourcing candidates, working with business leaders to ensure our recruitment process is effective and efficient and applying an innovative approach to attract candidates.

Requisition/Candidate Management

  • Independently manage the end to end recruitment process across a range of departments and job grades
  • Source and screen high calibre candidates through internal and external channels
  • Real-time use of the applicant tracking system to manage candidates and the recruitment process, ensure use by hiring managers; provide training where needed
  • Manage supplier relationship and all related activity including selection, payment and assessment
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business goals and objectives while aligning resourcing services with management needs and requirements. Learns the business objectives, future business direction and links HR strategy with business deliverables
  • Maintain an effective level of business literacy including Fitch's financial position, the medium to long term objectives, its culture, and the competition to be able to hold meaningful conversations and aid candidate sourcing
  • Ensure recruitment best practice standards are maintained and aligned to both company culture, values and local legislation

Stakeholder Management/Team Work

  • Manage internal client relationship and provide guidance and support as a recruitment expert to hiring managers
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle and work with other areas of HR for effective selection and onboarding processes
  • Proactively support other HR team members

Resourcing Operations

  • Proactively review processes and documentation to assess effectiveness and suggest improvements where identified
  • Escalate issues with the applicant tracking system and suggest ideas to enhance the system for both company and candidate
  • Active promotion of the employee referral program, recruitment skills training and all other recruitment tools
  • Provide timely, accurate and meaningful management reports, analysis, and forecasts, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Plus recruitment and general HR projects aligned with our global HR strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of eight years' regional recruitment experience within financial services, is required in order to fulfil this role; majority of experience should be in an in-house role
  • Recent experience working in a global, matrix environment is required
  • Experience working or studying overseas would be desirable
  • Fluent English is essential as are strong grammar and writing skills
  • Experience within a busy role and managing a varying workload is essential
  • Knowledge of local labour law and best practice across the APAC region
  • Fluent Mandarin and/or Cantonese would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Previous experience sourcing candidates through social media is desirable

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of direct sourcing strategies (e.g. referrals, cold calling, social networking, etc.) to proactively build healthy pipelines
  • A credible executive. A successful Resourcing Partner will gain the respect of a long established leadership team
  • A trusted, proactive, self-starter who understands how discrete issues can be understood within the bigger picture
  • An ability to work in an international, matrix environment, where professional and cultural sensitivities are always considered when providing counsel and advice is essential
