Retail Training & Performance Coordinator

Main Responsibilities

Classroom Training

  • Support Retail Training & Performance Manager Hong Kong & Macau in the organization and implementation of classroom training for both office and retail, such as Induction Training, Follow Up Training, New Product Training, Therapist Training etc.
  • In line with the training facilitation; coordinate all workshop administration and preparation and ensure all pre and post workshop activities are completed by attendees.

Field Training

  • Regular visits to Aesop retail spaces with the purpose of analysis and observation of performance and mentor and coach retail staff as required to ensure the highest standard of staff performance.
  • Track retail staff performance, measure the outcomes and effectiveness of the overall training plan and recommend changes to management to ensure all retail staff are progressing in accordance with company strategy and agreed learning outcomes.
  • Conduct In-store activity to improve retail staffs’ capabilities and service level.
  • Monitor the performance of new products throughout the launch period. Communicate customer anecdotes, share successes and offer further education on the product as required across the network, to ensure the product assimilates into the range.
  • Assist with training staff from approved Aesop stockists and wholesale accounts as required, upon agreement with Business Development Manager.
  • Be an Aesop advocate; host press and customers and deliver public presentations at marketing events.  
  • To lead by example in customer service, product prescription, Aesop demonstration techniques and personal presentation and grooming.

Communication and Administration

  • Work closely with Training & Performance Manager Hong Kong & Macau to optimize customer service and product knowledge. Collect and analyse feedback from existing training programs and review sales performance.
  • Monitor the sales performance of new product during campaigns and offer innovative suggestions for improvement
  • Communicate and celebrate customer compliments to motivate and encourage the retail teams.
  • Deliver regular written Retail Training reports to inform store performance, gaps and challenges.
  • Assist in verifying translations of training materials

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree holder or training related disciplines
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in retail industry
  • Experience in product training and in implementing training and development programs and calendars
  • Hands-on, practical problem-solving skills and ability to complete tasks within set timeframes
  • An exceptional level of skin care product knowledge
  • Prior administrative experience with strong organisational skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A commitment to and passion for Aesop’s retail environment, customer service and teams
  • Strong and sympathetic written and verbal communication skills (including English)
