The Role Responsibilities
This role is working as the 1st line of defence in operational risk and has primary coverage across the Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management Operations.

 

  • Responsible for implementation of the Bank's Operational Risk Framework ("ORF") and facilitate the Operations team to understand and to comply with the ORF, internal policies and external banking/regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate the reported complaint cases and operational/risk incidents and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to perform root cause analysis, risk assessment, and to devise and implement effective preventive measures.
  • Responsible for implementation and execution of the CST processes, sampling and testing the population of controls to ensure compliance with the Group control standards.
  • Responsible for recording the results of the CST. Ensure the testing is supported by evidence, completed and signed off before the due date.
  • Report CST exceptions, perform the residual risk assessment and ensure identified control deficiencies are mitigated with preventive measures and significant risk items are escalated.
  • Prepare risk related reports and dashboard required on ad hoc or regular basis and attend the regular risk forum meetings
  • Coordinate the internal / external audit, compliance and regulatory review involving Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management Operations.
  • Participate in ad hoc risk related projects, assessment and review.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree holder, preferably solid experience in Retail Banking/Private Banking/Wealth Management Operations, risk management, compliance or internal/external audit
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk Management and related regulations : Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Incident Management, Key Risk Indicators, Risk Assessment
  • Proficiencies and Knowledge in retail banking, private banking and wealth management products
  • Good Command of written English and Chinese
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
