Job Description
The primary role of the Risk and Performance Analytics Manager is to provide support to the Chief Operating Officer (“COO") and the department on risk and performance analytics matters. He/she will be responsible for assisting COO with investment risk and performance analytics, operational risk management, project management and workflow re-engineering.

  • Hands-on experience in building various risk and performance monitoring tools (e.g. Investment risk, operation risk, attribution analysis etc.)
  • Familiar with both investment and operational risk management processes and the relevant regulatory framework
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both spoken and written


  • Degree(s) holder in Accounting, Finance or Financial Engineering. CFA or FRM will be an advantage.
  • Over 10 years’ relevant working experience in either MPF or asset management industry


Primarily responsible for supervising daily risk and performance analytics activities. Main duties include:

  • Enhance the existing risk and performance analysis workflow to cope with evolving business needs.
  • Review all risk management and performance analytics reports.
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis on investment portfolios to identify drivers of performance and risks; and stress test or ad-hoc scenario analysis on portfolios.
  • Work closely with Investment, Operations and Compliance team on risk management and performance analytics issues.
  • Be a member of both Investment Oversight Committee (IOC) and Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC) which determine fund selection and asset allocation strategy for all portfolios and oversees all risk and compliance matters of SLAMHK respectively.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Take lead in system enhancement project and other ad-hoc exercises.
  • Provide guidance to team members on daily routines.
  • Handling ad-hoc enquiries from internal and external parties regarding portfolio analytics matters.
