Risk & Quality Assurance Lead - (HON2005L)
This function is part of a transversal team offering support to the Hong Kong branch of Euroclear in the below 4 dimensions:
  • Risk : Quality control assurance (QCA) and Business continuity (BCP)
  • Projects: Transversal projects impacting more than one department in the branch
  • People: Training and support to people initiatives across the office
  • Continuous improvement (CI): Making sure the CI mindset continue to live in the office following the LEAN principles
    In your function you will be in charge mainly of the Quality Control Assurance process while additional assignments in the other dimensions should also be expected.
    The Quality Control Assurance team is a team in Euroclear Bank that:
  • provides independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of the control environment
  • ensure consistency across locations and services within the first line of defense
    This team is located in Brussels, Krakow and Hong Kong and is working closely together with the business managers to reinforce the control environment and to ensure that it evolves dynamically.
As Risk & Quality Control Assurance (QCA) Lead, you will be assigned multiple services on which you will provide independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of the control environment, working closely with the business. Concretely, you will:
  • Partner with business stakeholder in order to reinforce the risk mindset in their team.
  • Perform monthly testing on critical controls through quality checks, sit-ins, KPI analysis.
  • Clearance of the testing results with team members and team leaders, potentially with Regional Service Directors (RSD)
  • Prepare the monthly reporting to higher management (RSDs, Local COO)
  • Help people on the shopfloor to reinforce their control environment to ensure it evolves dynamically
  • Support the control environment review in each teams and the implementation of the control Map.
  • Encourage best practice sharing on control environment across teams
  • Give trainings on above topics
We offer you the ability to develop your expertise in risk and audit management, as well as develop transversal knowledge of EB operations business. You will also develop working relationships at different level of the organization.
You will be invited to actively participate to the development of the QCA team on basis of the lean principles. On top of this, you will have on the job coaching to ensure close follow-up and monthly one-to-one to support your personal development; daily white board meeting so you are informed about the team activities.
Following competencies and experiences are a must:
  • Strong risk-mindset and rigorous in your execution of tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills: able to analyze an issue or blocking factor and propose a solution based on the lean methodology
  • Good coordination skills, reporting and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Good organization and prioritization
  • Autonomous but with a clear team-playing attitude
  • Able to deliver accurate work, high attention to details
  • Able to autonomously and clearly report towards involved parties
  • Able to challenge in an assertive way and willingness to work in a hands-on manner
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
    Besides these, you
    • are a positive minded person
    • have the capacity to adapt quickly towards environment and people
    • like to learn and you learn quickly
    • Experience in internal control design and risk management principals is a plus
