Robotics Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities during project:
- Work closely with business owners and venders to develop comprehensive system requirements
- Work closely with Robot vendor and project team to ensure proper integration capability
- Participate in system and integration testing to ensure robots, cloud application and mobile applications can communicate seamlessly as designed
- Assist in user acceptance testing to ensure business users are fully equipped to perform the necessary testing, and that issues are reported to vendors accurately
- Solve complex robotics problems with innovative
- Work with our engineers and venders to maintain and develop the highest quality of software for robots
- Design and develop efficient software systems of future robots
- Compile an in-depth analysis of critical challenges our robot’s encounter and devise solutions to solve these challenges
- Develop the autonomous features (SLAM) of future robots
- Program additional functions or features on existing robots running ROS
- Packaging of robot firmware upgrades on robotic softwares as well as on robot user interface
- BS Degree or higher in computer science, robotic engineering, software engineering or a related field
- 1-5 years industrial experience; Fresh graduates will be considerate if the candidate could demonstrate passion & skills in robotic engineering
- Experience in designing, developing and working with ROS is necessary. Knowledge of ROS2 is a bonus
- Strong coding skills Python and C++ in Linux environment
- Programming embedded systems and micro controllers (Raspberry-Pi)
- Understanding of various aspects of sensors like LiDARs, IMUs, Cameras, Ultrasonic sensors and TOF lasers
- Knowledge of SLAM, path-planning and localization
- A team player with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Proactive, innovative, energetic and strong sense of responsibility
- Good command of English and Chinese
