Sales Account Manager - APAC
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or other Science/Engineering related disciplines
  • 3-6 years of sales, account management or channel partner experience in the Lighting Industry preferred. Less sales experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated history of key account sales/business development success
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, basic market research techniques, product demonstration, and value-based sales techniques
  • Must be self-motivated and able to independently manage objectives with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Ability to gain trust and respect from customers and our channel partners
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Lighting Industry sales experience required. LED Lighting experience preferred
  • Computer skills to effectively research markets and track leads, and to prepare sales data, forecasts, and presentations. Experience should encompass skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM and forecasting tools
  • Experience developing a sales territory plan and with clear and measurable quarterly objectives aligned with plan
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills both externally and internally to develop strong relations with customers, partners, peers and Marketing and Management teams
  • Ability to travel whenever necessary
Job Duties:
  • Responsible for driving sales revenue growth working directly with customers, agents, distributors and value added Partners.
  • Drive lighting upgrades at existing customer facilities by demonstrating the benefits of lower energy operating expense, ROI paybacks and better quality lighting
  • Achieve profitable quarterly sales targets with high growth quarter-over-quarter business results
  • Drive new business development, especially on major deals
  • Maintain a new business pipeline and relentlessly pursue opportunities to broaden markets
  • Develop and execute an annual territory plan with quarterly updates
  • Track and communicate market trends, issues and opportunities for your assigned territory
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Drive, close and expand new business opportunities in your sales pipeline
  • Establish clear and measurable quarterly objectives aligned with the business plan
  • Maintain detailed customer records on an on-going basis, and provide additional written detail on important customer developments or feedback by request. This includes providing weekly updates on sales-to-quota, market activities, CRM and forecasts
  • Collaborate with Cree Lighting senior management on the business development and planning process. Proactively participate in key planning discussions
