Sales Director – Front Office Hedge Fund Software (Hong Kong)


Our client is a premier provider of global investment technology to support the front, middle, and back-office of institutional buy-side firms. In this role, you will represent all commercial market development aspects and will report to the CEO of Asia who is based in Hong Kong


  • Maintain and build a good relationship with existing clients
  • Identify and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects and deliver assigned sales targets
  • Apply solution selling approach by exploring and identifying business opportunities to help generate additional revenue
  • Source strategic opportunities with the potential to increase the overall book of business
  • Provide transparency in sales activity with global peers to ensure best practices
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitors
  • Analyze client usage to identify growth and risks
  • Formulate and follow an account development plan for the existing client base with the purpose of generating upsell opportunities
  • Work closely and collaborate with internal departments and partners to address client issues, concerns, and opportunities
  • Assist and contribute to marketing initiatives
  • Keep client profiles up-to-date through regular client account meetings and maintain relevant information in Salesforce


  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of hedge fund operations, including functions within the front, middle, and back-office
  • Previous work experience either in a hedge fund or selling to hedge funds
  • Proven track record of selling complex solutions/enterprise software sales
  • The ability to be competent in all asset classes through the lifecycle of a trade
  • An existing network of buy-side contacts would be helpful
  • Comfort engaging at a senior management level both internally and externally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, and willingness to manage the full sales cycle
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin would be advantageous
